Anyways. back to the week. As I said not much happend. The only event of the week (school week) would have been Teachers Appreciation week. Monday was chocolate cookie day. I made 6 dozen cookies, some to Jacob's teacher, some to Greysens ( A little more to G's as she has more to deal with). Tuesday awesome Tuscan Lemon Muffins, OMG they are to die for. They really appreciated that one. Wednesday brownies. Again a crowd pleaser. Thursday Chocolate covered strawberries. Yes I dipped them myself, yet another crowd pleaser, in fact J's teacher now thinks im the best :) And then Friday G's teacher got a basket full of fun, and J's teacher got J's choice of rice krispy treats. And that was Teachers Appreciation week!!!
Oh and then Friday I took G to swimming. He had a sub. Poor man!!! G was being extremely himself. Splashing everyone and just not listening. So that got him to be sat out. He didnt like it, he cried!!! Missed out on fun, and all that. But when the time for punishment was over G was back in the water and I mean down in the water!!! He was having so much fun going under the water. He would come up with a huge smile on his face. He only did this while the teacher was working with the other kids. Then when it was time to do what the teacher wanted him to do, he didnt oblidge. Owell at least his head came out wet. Here is the pic:
Not only did he complete the day at swimming but they gave all the kids roses to give to their moms for Mother's Day. However G believes it's his and is so proud of it he puts water in the vase everyday. He has a green thumb I tell ya!!!
Ok so now onto another week of soccer. This week the Neons won the game about 6 to 3 or so. Not positive on the score. But they did great!!! So proud of how much Jacob is participating and being aggressive.
Remember when G was making your work for you. This is what he came up with. He was sad you couldnt see it on the computer, but this is the next best thing. It is now his goal to make your work almost every week. He likes to see how high he can get the building.
This is his train. He likes to put his cars on it. So proud our child likes to construct with legos. Its hours of entertainment!!!
Now for Mother's day. Obviously J and G got ahold of the camera and took pictures. Here is the wonderful gifts the boys gave me. I have to say it was probably one of the best mother's days I have ever had.
Jacob conned the neighbor into taking him to the store to get me a gift. Funny thing is he forgot his money. So she ended up paying for it. Then I told him to make sure he pays her back and he asked how much. She said oh like 13 dollars. He said ok well I will give you 10. She was like what is up with that. He said he will just pay her when he picks up the merchandise and he will see what condition its in. So early Sunday morning he ran over to pay her and pick up the goods. I was so excited as this is exactly what I have been wanting!!!! As word has it, he even fought the sales lady over these. She wondered why he wanted to buy these as she keeps pulling these up out of her garden and cant seem to get rid of them and he said something like "this is what my mom wants and what she wants she will get" So glad he stood up to that woman!!!
Oh and read the card, its exactly my kids. He did an awesome job picking out the card!!!
Then I guess they needed to take pictures of each other, or themselves. Some cute, some scary!!!!
My parents came down and instead of working outside in the yard we decided to do a project inside. I got ot use a power tool!!!! It was quite fun. So here is Greysens new bookshelf being built. G loves it. He thinks its very cool.
Ok so now is the time when I tell you about how the week couldnt go without something happening. So I get up, get ready and head to HEB (the grocery store) to get some strawberries to make chocolate covered strawberries for my mom. G and I jump into the truck, since I just cleaned it up, and headed to the store. Picked up the strawberries, paid, and headed back to the truck. Just as I tried to start it, nothing happend. Luckily a very very nice man pulled up in the parking space in front of me. He had a huge truck. And the nice man jumped the truck and off we went to the house. I asked the neighbors where I might go to get a battery for the truck and Lewis said "well if you go buy one I will put it in for you. Regardless of what my wife might say I do know how to do some things :)" So sure enough off to auto zone I went and got my battery and sure enough he knew what he was doing. So I am so appreciative of his help as well. So I know he knew what he was doing because I had them test everything when I took the old battery back to Auto Zone and sure enough, Lewis saved the day!!!! THANKS LEWIS!!!!
So when the sun was going down I was able to plant my new flowers I got from Jacob. I cant wait to see them grow and bloom.
Mom and Dad gave me flowers and a cute little plant. Thanks MOM AND DAD!!!!!
This is the card and stuff G made me at school. Its very cute as well.
So see all in all a normal week. As normal as could be for our household. So grateful for all the people who helped me out this week (especially today). And so lucky to have awesome kids, husband, and parents. Im also lucky to have wonderful friends as well.
Anyways, onto week 16, just kind of wish it would fly by just a hair faster. Hope you enjoy the pictures from the week. We miss you tons and as always love you with all our hearts.
