Does he look like the Easter Bunny? Nah this is just G acting like one as he wears his ears he made at school. Not much happend early in the week but since Friday we have had tons of fun!!! Silly me forgot my SD card when I went to Greysens school for his Easter party. Jacob was busy shooting pictures when he noticed that there was no memory card. Owell I guess we can't win them all. However G did have a great time, he found tons of eggs, ate all the candy out of them, and then had a yummy party full of pizza, chips, and treats :)
We also had swimming lessons on Friday. He had to get readjusted to his teacher, she has been out a few weeks due to surgery. But it didnt take him long to show his true colors.
First he had to show how good his is floating on his back.
Then he had to splash water at his classmates. Not exactly what was suppose to be done, but when does he follow directions?
He even went under the water. Not only once but many times. He did so good!!!
He even popped out of the water to give you a smile :) Thats such a big difference from the crying he did the first several weeks.
Then on his back one more time in the big pool :)
Then he had to teach this poor little girl how to make big splashes too. Im not sure she knows what she is in for being in class with 2 boys. Guess she will toughen up quick.
Then it was onto the aligator float. Do you see that? Yes that is G kicking making a big splash!!
And this is him having fun on the way back from a lap around the pool. Still kicking!!!
Well now its onto the Easter festivities. Friday evening I decided to try this cool little recipe of eggs with candy inside. Ya it was going well, but it took forever, as I only had one egg to mold them in. So I decided to make some little baskets with candy in them. I made lots more but this was the prefect amount for the pic.
Saturday rolls around and its time for Easter fun. So here everyone is getting ready for the big Easter egg hunt. Just in case you dont know, this is Linsey, my neighbor, and her kids Ty, Brennen and Aida. Man I hope I spelled their names right. Owell we had fun. The pics of the great hunt are to follow.
Now its Jacobs turn. His were hidden in the back as he had other things in his eggs, like money!!! Thankfully the little kids helped him find the eggs. I thought it would take all day!!
His face as he was standing right in front of the last one but couldnt see it. ha ha fooled him :)
Now its time for cookie decorating. They were soooo good. And messy, but that is how it goes.
This is G taste testing his cookie.
Jacob made a garden with chocolate sprinkles and eggs. Very artistic!!!!
And now time for egg dying. Everyone got 3 eggs each. They turned out really good, and very colorful.
Then it was time to smash cascarones on each others heads. They are real egg shells filled with confetti, and you break them on each others head. However its wise if you break them in your hand first because it does hurt. G didnt get that memo and crashed one on Ty's head and it didnt feel so good. If only you could have seen Ty's face after this shot. It was good!!!
Then it was time to smash one on Jacobs head.
Then the festivities were over and I decided not only did the yard need watered but the boys needed to have some fun. So we went and got a sprinkler thing. It was fun for about an hour. Then they were covered in grass and mud. But it was still fun :)
Easter morning started early. Well I wasn't ready yet. About 8am the boys came up and told me the "EASTER MOUSE LEFT ME STUFF!!!!!!" Ya G had the bunny mistaken for a mouse. Sorry Easter Bunny!!!! He still loved every ounce of chocolate that was left as its all in his belly now (along with some of Jacobs, shhhhh dont tell) At least its all gone and there is no more chocolate to eat!!! Oh wait, I forgot the chocolate bunny, maybe tomorrow he will dig into that.
Over all it was a great week. I believe there is only 5, hmmm maybe 6 more weeks of school. Jacob is very excited as he really wants summer break to come. He is getting tired of reading so many books for his reading grade. Funny, as he doesnt realize this is nothing yet. Just wait, just wait. I try to tell him.
Oh and by the way Jacob got a 100% on his Patrick Henry speech and paper. Just in case you were wondering what someone in 4th grade gets when they memorize the entire speech, dresses up in character, and writes the whole report in cursive. Im pretty proud of him. :)
Well I know this was a lot of pictures. But we had so many fun moments this week. We wish you were here to be with us through all this fun, oh and not so much fun. But we miss you every minute of every day. We are glad you are staying safe, and bored. We would be worried if it was any other way.
Till next week, I hope you enjoy the pictures :) Love you forever and always :)
