Week 13 - Hippity Hoppity Easter's on it's Way!!!!!

Does he look like the Easter Bunny?  Nah this is just G acting like one as he wears his ears he made at school.  Not much happend early in the week but since Friday we have had tons of fun!!!  Silly me forgot my SD card when I went to Greysens school for his Easter party.  Jacob was busy shooting pictures when he noticed that there was no memory card.  Owell I guess we can't win them all.  However G did have a great time, he found tons of eggs, ate all the candy out of them, and then had a yummy party full of pizza, chips, and treats :)

We also had swimming lessons on Friday.  He had to get readjusted to his teacher, she has been out a few weeks due to surgery.  But it didnt take him long to show his true colors.

First he had to show how good his is floating on his back.

Then he had to splash water at his classmates.  Not exactly what was suppose to be done, but when does he follow directions?

He even went under the water.  Not only once but many times.  He did so good!!!

He even popped out of the water to give you a smile :)  Thats such a big difference from the crying he did the first several weeks.

Then on his back one more time in the big pool :)

Then he had to teach this poor little girl how to make big splashes too.  Im not sure she knows what she is in for being in class with 2 boys.  Guess she will toughen up quick.

Then it was onto the aligator float.  Do you see that? Yes that is G kicking making a big splash!!

And this is him having fun on the way back from a lap around the pool.  Still kicking!!!

Well now its onto the Easter festivities.  Friday evening I decided to try this cool little recipe of eggs with candy inside.  Ya it was going well, but it took forever, as I only had one egg to mold them in.  So I decided to make some little baskets with candy in them.  I made lots more but this was the prefect amount for the pic.

Saturday rolls around and its time for Easter fun.  So here everyone is getting ready for the big Easter egg hunt.  Just in case you dont know, this is Linsey, my neighbor, and her kids Ty, Brennen and Aida.  Man I hope I spelled their names right.  Owell we had fun.  The pics of the great hunt are to follow.

Now its Jacobs turn.  His were hidden in the back as he had other things in his eggs, like money!!!  Thankfully the little kids helped him find the eggs.  I thought it would take all day!!

His face as he was standing right in front of the last one but couldnt see it.  ha ha fooled him :)

Now its time for cookie decorating.  They were soooo good.  And messy, but that is how it goes.
This is G taste testing his cookie.
Jacob made a garden with chocolate sprinkles and eggs.  Very artistic!!!!
And now time for egg dying.  Everyone got 3 eggs each.  They turned out really good, and very colorful.
Then it was time to smash cascarones on each others heads.  They are real egg shells filled with confetti, and you break them on each others head.  However its wise if you break them in your hand first because it does hurt.  G didnt get that memo and crashed one on Ty's head and it didnt feel so good.  If only you could have seen Ty's face after this shot.  It was good!!!
Then it was time to smash one on Jacobs head.

Then the festivities were over and I decided not only did the yard need watered but the boys needed to have some fun.  So we went and got a sprinkler thing.  It was fun for about an hour.  Then they were covered in grass and mud.  But it was still fun :)

Easter morning started early.  Well I wasn't ready yet.  About 8am the boys came up and told me the "EASTER MOUSE LEFT ME STUFF!!!!!!"  Ya G had the bunny mistaken for a mouse.  Sorry Easter Bunny!!!!  He still loved every ounce of chocolate that was left as its all in his belly now (along with some of Jacobs, shhhhh dont tell)  At least its all gone and there is no more chocolate to eat!!! Oh wait, I forgot the chocolate bunny, maybe tomorrow he will dig into that.

Over all it was a great week.  I believe there is only 5, hmmm maybe 6 more weeks of school.  Jacob is very excited as he really wants summer break to come.  He is getting tired of reading so many books for his reading grade.  Funny, as he doesnt realize this is nothing yet.  Just wait, just wait.  I try to tell him.

Oh and by the way Jacob got  a 100% on his Patrick Henry speech and paper.  Just in case you were wondering what someone in 4th grade gets when they memorize the entire speech, dresses up in character, and writes the whole report in cursive.  Im pretty proud of him.  :)

Well I know this was a lot of pictures.  But we had so many fun moments this week.  We wish you were here to be with us through all this fun, oh and not so much fun.  But we miss you every minute of every day.  We are glad you are staying safe, and bored.  We would be worried if it was any other way.

Till next week, I hope you enjoy the pictures :)  Love you forever and always :)

Week 12 - "Give me Liberty or Give me Death!!!!!!"

This is my new slogan as said by the good ol man Patrick Henry.  I think I will have to adopt this one until December at least.  I need freedom from poop in underwear, kids fighting, stubbornness, whininess, sickness, surgeriness (is that a word?  it is now!!!)  and all that which comes in between!  So you will see why I chose this particular quote during this blog.

Every night Jacob had to practice this speech about Patrick Henry.  The 4th grade at his school was involved in a wax museum in which each student had to portray a figure from the American Revolution.  And funny thing is, I asked J why he chose Patrick Henry.  He said "because I had a friend in 3rd grade named Patrick"  guess he had a big impact on him.  Its funny what comes to kids minds.   Anyways, their speech had to be 3-5 minutes.  Now that is a lot of information!!!  Jacob did great.  He memorized it all!!!  word for word!!!  Im a very proud mom, considering I could have never done such a thing in 4th grade.  Well here is the new and studly PATRICK HENRY!!!

And here he is performing in the wax museum for a customer.  I bet he wished he got paid for each time he said it :)

Well that big assignment came and went quickly, and now its time for swimming again.  You know every week gets a little bit better.  So here are some action shots of G in swimming class.

Then its time for the weekly soccer game.  Now I cant say I was very happy this week with soccer.  I happen to find those jerk coaches a little repulsive!!  So our team was pretty small this week, only 8 came out of 11.  So the other coach would not go with playing 8 on 8.  He needed to be a jerk and unsportsman like and play 9 on 8.  Like that is fair.  Well the boys played their hearts out, but unfortunately they didnt win.  So here are some action shots of J on defense.

Oh ha ha, this one is funny.  Do you see where the ball is, and where J is looking.  So his teammate kicked the ball, they were both going for it.  And Jacob has no idea where the ball is, cause its right behind him!!!  This just cracks me up!!!

Then on Sunday we took our weekly trip up to my parents.  Last week was to see my uncles, and of course my parents, and I forgot the camera so that is why we didnt get pictures of them.  So anyways, this week had another surprise.  Well not really a surprise, but a visitor.  It was my brother.  We spent the day watching the Talladega race (sp?) and everyone napped during it.  Ya it was soooo eventful.  However I have to say the very end of the race was pretty stressful.  Oh and the good news of the day, G went poo in the potty.  You know why.  Cause he wants to go into Gma and Gpas pool this summer. So he thinks since he went one time he would get to go into the pool.  I was so happy for him.  He is such a good boy!!!!

So here are some pics with my brother, Uncle Cameron.

See and mom even looks good with all she has been through :)

Now the real bummer is I recorded Jacobs speech and I have tried to insert it in here.  For some reason its not working!!!!  Im so frustrated!!!  here I will try one more time:  Ok so it didnt work.  I tried to put it on facebook. but we will see if it works there too.  Who knows.

Anyways, it was a fun, not very eventful week.  Which is ok for me seeing as the next few weeks should be fun.  But I dont want to ruin the surprise.

We love you so much, and are so excited to see you sooner then later.  Hang in there, we are here for you yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever!!!  Love you always!!!

Week 11 - First week on our own.....again

So in all honesty I cant say our week was very exciting.  Should I be sad about this, or thankful we finally didnt have any craziness??  Im going to say thankful!!!

We started off by saying goodbye to Grandma B.  Jacob has been spending more time with a neighborhood friend and G, well he has been busy with the alphabet.

Here is Jacob and Isaiah watching construction out front of the house.

And Greysen busy putting together the awesome Alphabet train puzzle Grandma B left for him.  He is so good he can put it together all by himself!!!!  And not only does he know the order but he can also sing a song which he says what each letter says.  He is learning soooo much, so fast!!!!
Grandma B also taught him how to take a real bath.  No more running water and in and out.  Now its time to splash and swim.  So now he loves to lay on his back, splash, and blow bubbles.  Watch out swimming class, Greysen is on a roll!!!!  Thanks Grandma B :)

And like I said not much else happend this week so already we are onto the weekly soccer game.  The kids did great, however they played a team of giants.  What tough competition.  I think the kids were a little intimidated by the size of some of the other team.  Needless to say they lost, but they still did good.

This is a shot for the other team.  Our kids are all lined up.  I thought it was cool how the boy is up in the air.  And also thought it was funny Jacob not only tried to block the ball but ducked as well.  It might have worked better if he stayed straight up, but the guy missed anyways.
 Good goalie catch.

Jacob trying to outkick another kid.

Oh and G had to take a pee break.  Of course it had to be right behind the goal, but I think only a few kids saw him do his business :) Another funny about G is that he pooped in his underwear right before he game was over, I know you think YUCK!!!  but I didnt bring his backpack of clothes so he had to sit in it on the way home.  When we got there, and I was changing him he said he had a "poop pancake" cause it was flat :) Isnt he inventive???  Hmmmm should I be proud of his imagination???

Another fight for the ball.

Oh this is funny to watch, Jacob versus the green giant, if you scroll down its like a flip show or whatever.

Here is contact!!!

And down.........

down........

down he goes!!!!  So far he almost flipped.  he got up gave me a look and I told him he was fine.  Im such a caring mom :)

So as you can see not much happend, but at least I had some things to share this week.   Im also happy I am able to get some good shots of Jacob at soccer.  This camera rocks!!!!!  It was so worth it.  I mean its not everyday I get every second of a shot, or fall :)

Well sorry posting is getting later each week, I need to get on the ball before I get super behind.  Hope you have a great week and we love you and miss you tons.

Until next week!!!!
