Week 6, OH what fun we have :)

Ok so all I can say is Im waiting for some type of normalcy.  I guess that might not happen until you get home.  But we continue with life and try our best.  This week started off pretty boring, but as always something funny or wierd happens to us.  So lets just start by explaining the events of the week. 

First I had to clean the fish tank.  Ya not really my cup of tea but thankfully I had my super helper, no im not talking about G, although he did help.  But Jacob was the best.  You ask what could he have possibly done to be nominated as "super helper", well someone had to suck the water out of the tank.  And it wasn't going to be me!!!!!!  So after 5 buckets of water (plus the muck that comes out of the rocks) were emptied into the toilet (with thanks to G for helping me pour  it out since without him I would not have been able to do it) and new water put in, this is what the fish tank looks like.  OH and did I mention, ALL THE FISH ARE STILL ALIVE!!!!

And Jacob is $5 richer for his super help!!!!!

Not much happend the rest of the week really until swimming lessons on Saturday.  On the way to the swimming school I was driving quite rapidly in order to get there on time.  And the saddest thing ever happend!!!  A poor defensless squirrel jumped out in front of my fast moving Audi!!!  At least it wasn't Len, a friend of ours, who had been hit by an Audi earlier in the week.  But as I looked through the rear view mirror I saw it tumble across the street and landing right next to the leisurely joggers on the side of the road.  I was mortified!!!  And of course Jacob was in the car and is now a little traumatized by they whole situation.  Oh and by the way it was a discussion as to whether we should go back and take a picture of the poor thing, just so you all could see how cruel I am.

It was Greysens first day in a swim class, and if it was up to him it would have been his last!!!  I can't say it was the best experience, but at least he got in the water.  I will just let the next few pictures explain for themselves what the experience was like :)

Ya I cant say that he had a happy face.  It was more of panic because mom wasnt there for him to hang on.  And his teacher had to help other kids so he couldn't hang on her, however someone came to rescue her and took over her class so she could take G out on his own.  Ya im just hoping it goes uphill from here.  I think its going to take some massive rewards to get him to go back.  But I wont give up on him. 

So then we went to the grocery store.  We had to get the ingredients for the best meal ever FONDUE!!!!  Hey its tradition so just because the love of my life isnt here I wasnt going to go without.  Here are some pics of our fun at the grocery store :)

G is taking his turn at the buddy bucks machine.  Ya you only get a sticker with the number of points on it, kind of cheesy.  You could save up your points for a toothbrush or something great like that but G just likes to stick them to things around the house.

Now its Jacobs turn.  However he isnt fast enough when G is around.  J would put the money in, and G would push the button for him and steal his sticker.  J had to learn it really isnt that fun to get a dorky sticker.  And quickly got over it.  

So after we got home, we decided to spend the afternoon outside because why not, its so nice and warm out.  So on my way out the door I noticed these, yes these!!!!!  Some of the tulips are coming up.  How exciting is that???  Here are the only 3 out of tons that are up:

I know I know your thinking this is kind of a boring week but just wait, there is more.  Greysen was riding his big wheel and J was attempting to fly a kite, after all it was windy out.  So after awhile I thought it would be a grand idea to get G back on his bike after his massive crash several months ago.  Well first he had to..... well just take a look for yourself.

Oh and did I mention, well lets keep it quiet.  You see that wall behind Gma B that leads up to our grass.  Well Gma B decided to climb it to come and help me do something, ya well she sort of tripped and down she went.  It was quite funny, and yes she is ok, but man I wish I had the camera ready for that one!!!

Oh freak what is G doing???

Well after all the fun outside it was time to celebrate our 6 years of marriage by going out to dinner.  Oh wait sorry babe, just the boys, your mom, and I.  But you were there in our hearts :)  It was PF Changs this year!!!  I know its suppose to be fondue, but I didnt want to pay for all of us to go there.  So I chose this and it was great.  The boys loved it as did your mom.  And I did to of course.   So here are the boys and I waiting for our table :)

Well this ends our week of fun.  I really really miss you so much.  I was looking forward to Skyping with you, but understand duty comes first.  I hope your trip was safe and successful.  And i hope next weekend we might be able to try again.  Happy Anniversary to the love of my life, and my BFF!!!
