Week 19 - Schools out for summer!!!!!

Well finally, the last week of school.  Jacob thought it would never come.  I am pretty much looking forward to it as well so I can spend some time with him.  Now I cant say the last day of school was as cool as having a party with tons of friends in Naples, but I thought it was pretty close.

First off we spent Memorial Day at my parents.  The kids were so excited they could hardly stand it. They kept asking when the pool was open.  So at noon the pool opened for business.  However the water was a little too cold for my liking or my moms.  SO Grandpa got to play with the boys.  Greysen jumped in so many times we lost count.  But just as soon as dads glasses were dry it was time to jump again.  Soon after we left, Gpa fell asleep. I think he got a bit exhausted.  :)

Here are some pics of the pool fun.

Im not sure how Greysen does it, but he continually belly flops every time he jumps in the pool.  He will be a master belly flopper one day im sure :)
After 3 days of school it was time for the class party.  It was fun filled with a movie, pizza, and ice cream sundaes.  They had a lot of fun :)
Ms. Wallace also gave out awards.  Her classroom theme was the movies, so she gave out acadamy awards.  Jacob got "Most Humorous"  He gets all her jokes and always likes to tell jokes.
Good news is he passed 4th grade and is on his way to the last year of elementary school :(  but also :)  I just cant believe how fast time goes and how fast he is growing up.
Here is Jacobs class.  Well most of them, some had already went home for the day :)
The first day of summer was spent at the pool.  Jacobs friend came along with our neighbors.  It was fun, and HOT!!!!
Here is Jacob posing for the camera.
And me posing for the camera.  :)
I had also picked up a slip n slide for the boys.  So slip n slide fun we had.  At first I was baffled by the fact they could only get maybe half way down.  I mean I remember sliding off the end when I was a kid.  Well finally they figured out how to get to the end, and I can now be a proud mom of slip n sliders :)

So I thought this week would be somewhat boring due to no swimming lessons and no soccer.  But it seems like we had a pretty productive and active week.  Hopefully the rest of the summer will be just as full of fun and productive as the first weekend :)

Another week down, another week closer to you coming home.  We miss you and love you so much!!!  You are in our hearts and mind every day.  In fact G talks about you everyday, just like you were here yesterday.

Until next week.....
